Thanks for checking out my first post.  It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to talk about; because I wanted to be as honest and open with you as possible.  At the same time, I wanted you to feel inspired and ready to take on the world.  In this audio blog, I briefly touch on the subject of Purpose and depression that we come across every so often in our lives.

Just for the record, this podcast/blog is in the starting phases.   (So I do apologize in advance if it’s a little Raw)   There will never be a more perfect time than the present.  Most of us delay or procrastinate on our dreams or goals; because for some reason, we feel that everything has to be perfect.  Your family, work schedule, school, etc.  Honestly, if you haven’t noticed by now, that day will never come!!  WHAT YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW, IS “ENOUGH” TO GET STARTED!!!!

For this Podcast, I decided to talk about dealing with depression and figuring out your purpose.  Some of us deal with depression on a daily basis and some of us only deal with is when we have something tragic that happen to us.

Some deal with it by taking medication or seeking professional help (AWESOME!!).  Others deal with it head on and accept that horrible feeling inside, however,  they try to compete by staying busy and finding positive outlets.   No doubt about, depression will hit us.  That’s not the problem, the problem is how we deal with it when it happens.

The purpose is another topic that we hear a lot of authors, entrepreneur, bloggers and leaders talk about.  I guess I am more aware of it because I am “aware” of it.  Usually, when we think about purpose, it will start out when we are adults doing things we do not like.  You start to ask yourself, “Was I put on this Earth to do this thing?  I would be so much happier if I was doing X or helping people or communities doing Y”  We start to think and question our existence more when we are the unhappiest.   WHY!!!!????

  2. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.
